Preview

Charlotte is on a two-game losing skid after winning their three previous matches. The team has a .500 mark at the moment, enough for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings, only a half-game in front of eighth-seeded team Chicago Bulls.

The Hornets were routed by the Golden State Warriors, 113-103, on their home floor of Spectrum Center on Wednesday night for their seventh loss in their last 10 outings, as per ABC News.

Kemba Walker scored 26 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished off eight assists to lead head coach Steve Clifford's squad in the loss. Nicolas Batum had 16 points, six boards, and eight assists while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist added 15 points and nine rebounds. Marvin Williams was the fourth starter in double figures with 14 points, five boards, two assists, and two steals.

Off the bench, two players scored in double-digits, namely Marco Belinelli and Spencer Hawes with 14 and 10 points respectively. Hawes also had 13 rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, the Knicks continue to be inconsistent at this time with three losses in their last five games, most of them close ones. They are 11th in the East right now and are still in playoff contention, three games below the Bulls.

New York was outplayed by the Dallas Mavericks, 103-95, in their most recent match also last Wednesday held on the road at the American Airlines Center, Fox Sports reported.

Carmelo Anthony fired 30 points on 13-for-24 field goal shooting and had eight boards and three assists in a losing effort. Courtney Lee backed him up with 23 points, shooting 9-for-13, with six rebounds. Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis both fired 13 points with the latter also grabbing eight boards.

Prediction

The Hornets are 8-14 on the road this season while the Knicks are 11-14 at home so far. Charlotte is a slight favorite to win over the uninspired Knicks in this match.
