The Indiana Pacers (22-21) will host the reeling New York Knicks (19-26) in a 2016-2017 NBA regular season match at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday, Jan. 23.

New York continues to struggle this season with two consecutive losses. The team has lost four of their last five matches to drop to the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference standings, three games behind eighth-seeded squad Chicago Bulls and one-and-a-half games ahead of 12th-place team Orlando Magic.

The Knicks have lost another close and disappointing game after falling to West cellar-dwellers Phoenix Suns, 107-105, at their home court of Madison Square Garden last Saturday, as per the New York Times.

Carmelo Anthony had a chance to hit a game-winner but his last second three-pointer rattled out of the basket.

Anthony top-scored for the Knicks with 31 points along with seven rebounds and six assists while Derrick Rose added 26 points, three boards, and five assists. Kristaps Porzingis had a quiet 14 points and two assists and Courtney Lee chipped in 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Starting center Joakim Noah did not score but hauled down 15 boards and dished off three assists.

Meanwhile, the Pacers are also on a two-game losing slide after winning their two previous games. The team is currently seventh in the East, one game ahead of the Bulls and only a half-game behind sixth-place squad Charlotte Hornets.

Indiana is coming off a 109-100 defeat in the hands of the Utah Jazz on the road at the Vivint Smart Home Arena also on Saturday night, SB Nation reported.

Paul George, Jeff Teague, and Thaddeus Young all scored 19 points for head coach Nate McMillan's side with starting center Myles Turner firing 13 as the fourth starter in double figures.

George also had four rebounds and two assists, Teague had four boards, seven assists, and three steals, Young had nine rebounds and three dishes, and Turner had seven boards and two assists all in a losing effort.

Off the bench, Monta Ellis contributed 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals.

Prediction

 The Knicks are poor on the road this season with a 7-15 record while the Pacers are excellent at home with a 16-5 slate. Indiana is predicted to win this match.
