The Sacramento Kings (16-25) is scheduled to visit the Memphis Grizzlies (25-19) at the FedExForum on Friday, Jan. 20 as the 2016-2017 NBA regular season moves forward.

Sacramento has been struggling in the first half of the season and continues to do so with eight losses in their last 10 matches. The team has dropped to the 11th from the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings after a month with a three-game losing slide.

The Kings are coming off a disappointing 106-100 loss to the Indiana Pacers in their home floor of Golden 1 Center on Wednesday night, as per the Sacramento Bee.

DeMarcus Cousins had a triple-double of 25 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and three blocks in a losing effort while Rudy Gay, who will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn left Achilles tendon, finished with 21 points, four boards, and two steals.

Starters Kosta Koufos, Darren Collison, and Arron Afflalo all scored 11 points with Collison also having two boards, nine assists, and four steals.

Gay suffered the injury in the third quarter of the match and he was helped off the floor. Ty Lawson (ankle) and Omri Casspi (calf) are also both out for the Kings because of separate injuries.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are also reeling with three losses in their last four games. The team has remained at sixth place in the West, though, despite their recent defeats, tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder and six-and-a-half games in front of eighth-seeded team Denver Nuggets.

Memphis was nipped by the Washington Wizards, 104-101, on the road at the Verizon Center also last Wednesday for their second consecutive defeat, SB Nation reported.

Marc Gasol had a good offensive game with 28 points on 9-for-16 field goal shooting and 10-for-11 from the free throw line, but only had two rebounds as the starting center.

Mike Conley contributed 20 points, three boards, and six assists while JaMychal Green had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Off the bench, veteran shooting guard Vince Carter had 12 points, two rebounds, and three steals.

Prediction 

The Kings are 8-12 on the road so far this season while the Grizzlies are 14-8 when playing at home. Memphis is predicted to bounce back from their previous loss with a big win over Sacramento.
