It's official! Rain and Kim Tae Hee are tying the knot!

On Jan. 17, Tuesday, the K-Pop star took to his Instagram account to break the news that he will be marrying Kim. Rain made the announcement via a handwritten letter posted on the photo-sharing platform.

"Already 16 years have passed since I debuted," Soompi quoted the idol as saying. "The fans that were with me all that time have become beautiful women and mothers."

"Now I, as the oldest son in my household, also seek to become a great husband," he added. "[Kim Tae Hee] has always been there for me, unmoving, in sad times and in happy times, and she never fails to amaze me. Our trust and love for each other is as strong as ever, and we've decided to take the leap."

Rain also noted that he and his ladylove will not be sharing any further details about their wedding ceremony with the public and apologized to the masses for the same. Furthermore, the "La Song" hitmaker expressed his gratitude to fans for showering him with their love and support over the last 16 years and promised to further his singing and acting career with modesty and responsibility.

The actor/singer ended the letter with the statement, "She is the best present to me." Rain, 34, and Kim, 36, have been dating for four years and in the days leading up to Rain's official announcement, there were several rumors claiming that the couple will be tying the knot on Feb. 19, 2017, as Koreaboo pointed out.

"The Best Present" as Rain describes Kim in his handwritten letter, is also the name of his new song produced by "Gangnam Style" hitmaker PSY. The song is about a marriage proposal and during a recent episode of "Knowing Bros," when the MC jokingly asked Rain about marriage plans, the K-pop star denied any plans of walking down the aisle with Kim, who has been on a hiatus since the 2015 SBS drama "Yongpal."
