Preview

Minnesota has slowly been climbing the Western Conference table after winning three of their last four games. They are now in the fourth from the last place in the West as the team has overtaken the Los Angeles Lakers for the 12th spot.

However, the Wolves lost to cellar-dwelling team Dallas Mavericks, 98-87, during their most recent match last Sunday on the road at the American Airline Center to snap a three-game winning run, as per Fox Sports.

Gorgui Dieng top-scored for head coach Tom Thibodeau's squad with 21 points and eight rebounds while Anthony Wiggins had 19 points, eight boards, and four assists in a losing effort.

Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists with Zach LaVine adding 11 points and five boards as the fourth member of the starting unit to score in double figures.

Off the bench, power forward Nemanja Bjelica chipped in 10 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Meanwhile, the Spurs are reeling as of late with two losses in their last three games. The team is still in the second spot of the Western Conference standings, though, only a half-game ahead of third-running team Houston Rockets.

San Antonio dropped a sorry 108-105 defeat to the West's cellar-dwellers, Phoenix Suns, at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico last Saturday, Press TV reported.

Kawhi Leonard had a monster game despite the loss as the small forward produced 38 points on 12-for-20 field goal shooting along with four rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Tony Parker had 14 points, one rebound, and two assists while LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 13 points, four boards, and two assists.

Manu Ginobili came off the bench to score 16 points with two rebounds and three assists.

Prediction

The Wolves are poor on the road this season with a 5-14 record while the Spurs are great at home with a 14-5 slate. A big win for San Antonio is predicted.
