Preview

Dallas has been struggling all season as the team is currently second from the last place in the Western Conference standings. However, they are on a roll lately with two straight victories after previously having a three-game losing skid.

The Mavericks are coming off a 98-87 win over fellow lowly team Minnesota Timberwolves at their home court of American Airlines Center on Sunday night, as per SB Nation. It was a revenge of sorts for head coach Rick Carlisle's side after the Wolves beat them, 101-92, on Jan. 9.

Wes Matthew led four Dallas starters who scored in double figures with 19 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block. Dirk Nowitzki had 17 points, six boards, two assists, and three blocks while Harrison Barnes and Deron Williams both fired 13 points with the latter also dishing off 10 dimes.

Off the bench, two players scored in double figures with point guards JJ Barea and Devin Harris firing 15 and 10 points respectively.

Meanwhile, the Bulls are on a two-game winning run after losing their previous three games as well. The team has climbed up to the seventh spot in the East standings with an even win-loss record and are now only one game behind sixth-place squad Indiana Pacers.

Chicago turned back a tough challenge from the Memphis Grizzlies with a 108-104 road win at the FedExForum also last Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Jimmy Butler had an impressive all-around performance with 16 points, eight boards, six assists, and three steals while Taj Gibson contributed 18 points and eight rebounds.

Michael Carter-Williams added 14 points, seven rebounds, and three assists as the starting point guard while Robin Lopez chipped in 12 points, seven boards, and three blocks.

However, the man of the match was Doug McDermott who played a career-game with 31 points, six rebounds, one steal, and one block.
