Back in August 2016, Gust announced their new magical RPG title, "Blue Reflection: Sword of the Girl Who Dances in Illusions." The new title will remind players of Sailor Moon with its similar transformations featuring 15 different girls. Now, more details on the story, characters and battles have been revealed for the PS4 and PS Vita exclusive game.

'Blue Reflection' story line details

Most of the details for "Blue Reflection" have been revealed by Gematsu. For starters, the main story of the game revolves around 15 different girls studying at Hoshinomiya Girls' High School during the summer. The story starts with Hinako Shirai having a foot injury and Sanae Nishida. Suddenly Hinako gets thrown into an unknown world and fights a frightening monster. The battle requires Hinako to transform and after defeating the monsters meets the students behind the voices she has heard while in the unknown world. Dual Shockers also added that Hinako has the power to make her realize her dreams under the power of the evening moon. Plenty of episodes are also focused on introducing different characters, which are quite many in the story.

'Blue Reflection' characters

Aside from Hinako and Sanae, there is also a new character in "Blue Reflections," Mao Ninagawa. In the game, Mao is an excellent and famous actress who has worked since her childhood. But even when things are less hectic for Mao, she still continues to work. She is not looking to become a leader but always ends up as the center of attention with her popularity. The two girls behind the voices were revealed to be the sisters Raimu and Yuzuki Shijou.

 'Blue Reflection' battle system

Early into the introduction of the game, Hinako is revealed to be a "Reflector." This only means that she can fight using the energy of emotions or "Ether" as is what Reflectors do. Once in the game, players can build up their Ether by choosing the command for Ether Charge. Once this is done, the percentage of the charge found on the bottom left of the screen will increase.  However, the Ether will decrease when a player heals allies for "Recovery" or uses "Guard" against enemy attacks. Another important thing to note as well is that how a player uses the Ether us a key factor in winning in "Blue Reflection."

Other details included into the game are the presence of the enemy monsters like Pure Breeds that attack humans, Natzach that attacks using beams and lance from the sky and the monstrous and powerful Yesod. Gust also revealed new screenshots of the game. Check out the video below if you missed out the trailer for "Blue Reflection: Sword of the Girl Who Dances in Illusions." The game is exclusive on PS4 and PS Vita and is set to release on March 30.
