Preview

Charlotte has been reeling as of late with a four-game losing slide. The team has also lost six of their last seven games to drop to the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference standings, just a win less than eighth-seeded squad Chicago Bulls.

The Hornets were defeated by the Philadelphia 76ers, 102-93, in their most recent game last Friday held on the road at the Wells Fargo Center, as per SB Nation.

Nicolas Batum led head coach Steve Clifford's squad with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals while backcourt partner Kemba Walker backed him up with 17 points, four boards, three assists, and two steals.

Cody Zeller had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds as well as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who had 12 points and 12 boards with four assists.

Meanwhile, the Celtics won for the second straight game with a 103-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks on the road at the Philips Arena also on Friday night, ESPN reported.

Isaiah Thomas drilled the winning basket with only two seconds left in the game to lift Boston to the heart-stopping victory.

Thomas had waved off head coach Brad Stevens' attempt to call a timeout in the final seconds and took it upon himself to run the clock down and take the game's final shot. He led the Celtics with 28 points, four rebounds, and nine assists.

Jar Crowder added 18 points and nine rebounds as he shot 7-for-12 from the field, including a 4-for-8 stint from beyond the arc. Al Horford had an excellent all-around performance with 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists in his first game back in Atlanta.

Backup center Kelly Olynyk netted 26 points coming off the bench and was 9-for-11 in field goal shooting with a 4-for-5 clip from downtown.

Prediction

The Hornets are 8-13 in road games so far this season while the Celtics are 12-6 at home. A huge win by Boston is predicted.
