CW is known for its magic in turning a rather perilous project into hit like what it did with "Supergirl." Now, fans expect that the same fate can be done for NBC's "Constantine."

According to Polygon, CW president Mark Pedowitz announced that Matt Ryan, known for his previous character as John Constantine in the original NBC series, will reprise his role. According to fans, the actor may have been in the character for just a short time, but it was enough to have attract avid fans and viewers and to give some hope for the series.

It can be remembered that Constantine is an animated series based on hellblazer comics. NBC previously aired season 1 for the series though it was canceled and never get to have its second season run. Nevertheless, Constantine's character has already been part of other animations such as a guest in an episode of Arrow and a character in Justice League Dark movie.

According to Deadline, the animated series has already ordered for Five-six 10 minute episodes. The team behind the production will be spearheaded by Greg Berlanti along with David S. Goyer, co-creator and executive producer of the original series, and the Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Constantine will be joining other CW Seed animated series such as Vixen and Justice League. The series is slated for 2017-2018 TV season, although the premiere date for the series has yet to be announced officially.

Aside from the confirmed episodes, Comicbook reported that CW Seed has also released the official logo of the series. Accordingly, the image has a tinge of the common Constantine promotional art, but it is important to note that the logo is significantly different from the live-action show.

Other series which will be joined by Constantine include Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.
