Preview

Cleveland has been inconsistent in their last four games with two wins and two losses. However, the team is still on top of the Eastern Conference, three-and-a-half games ahead of closest pursuers Toronto Raptors.

The Cavs were defeated by the Utah Jazz, 100-92, on the road at the Vivint Smart Home Arena on Tuesday night for their second loss this month, as per ABC News.

LeBron James had 29 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals to lead head coach Tyronn Lue's squad in a losing effort. Kyrie Irving backed him up with 20 points, four boards, and four assists with one steal.

Kevin Love struggled in the game with only 12 points on 4-for-14 shooting. He had nine rebounds and three assists, though. Tristan Thompson had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Blazers have also been mercurial as of late as the team has alternated losing and winning in their past eight matches. They are currently in the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings, six-and-a-half games behind seventh-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.

Portland routed the Los Angeles Lakers, 108-87, during their most recent fixture last Tuesday on the road at the Staples Center, Oregon Live reported.

CJ McCollum top-scored for head coach Terry Stotts' side with 25 points, one rebound, four assists, and two steals while team leader Damian Lillard had 20 points, eight boards, and six assists.

Mo Harkless contributed 14 points, five rebounds, and three blocks while Mason Plumlee chipped in 11 points, seven boards, and two blocks as the starting frontcourt.

The Blazers limited the Lakers to only 12 points in the third quarter while they scored 23 as a team to pull off the rout.

Prediction

The Cavs are 10-6 on the road this season while the Blazers are 10-8 at home. Cleveland is expected to bounce back from their loss to the Jazz and take a win in Portland.
