Several news outlets revealed BTS is planning to launch a continuation of their "WINGS" album for their comeback in February; however, Big Hit Entertainment has released a statement to clarify previous reports.

According to Allkpop, the label confirmed BTS is gearing up for a comeback, but Big Hit Entertainment emphasized they have yet to come up with the specifics for the boy group's return.

"It's true that BTS is currently preparing with the goal of a comeback in February, but nothing has yet been confirmed. They are still discussing what type of release they will put out. No time period for a release has been set," the agency said.

BTS dropped their second full-length album "WINGS" on Oct. 10. The album carries a total of 15 songs with title track "Blood Sweat & Tears." The boy group made it to the Billboard 200 for their latest album.

Billboard reported, "WINGS" landed on the 26th spot a week after the album was released. BTS sold over 16,000 copies of the full-length album within a week as per Nielsen Music.

"WINGS" became the boy group's third entry on the Billboard 200 alongside "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2" and "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life:Young Forever" at numbers 171 and 107, respectively.

On top of that, BTS was also listed on Billboard's Social 50 Artists Chart, making them the only Korean act on the year-end chart. The boy group nabbed the 34th spot, trailing "Can't Feel My Face" artist The Weeknd.

The seven-member boy group made their debut on June 13, 2013 with the release of "No More Dream" under "2 Cool 4 Skool" album. The debut album earned them Best New Artist awards during the 2013 MelOn Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards and the 2014 Seoul Music Awards.
