The Los Angeles Lakers (15-26) host the Portland Trail Blazers (16-23) at the Staples Center on Tuesday, Jan. 10 as the 2016-2017 NBA regular season moves forward.

Portland has been inconsistent in their past several games, alternating losing and winning their last seven matches. They are currently in the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings, seven games behind seventh-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Blazers dropped a sorry 125-124 overtime game to the Detroit Pistons last Sunday at their home court of Moda Center, as per Oregon Live.

CJ McCollum fired 35 points on 16-for-28 shooting, including a 3-for-9 stint from the three-point line. He also had three rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block. Team leader Damian Lillard had 20 points, nine boards, and five assists to back up McCollum.

Al-Farouq Aminu contributed 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block as the third starter in double figures.

Allen Crabbe was on fire off the bench with 30 points, shooting an astonishing 12-for-15 from the field with a 5-for-5 clip from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles is looking for a third straight victory as they go against Portland in this match. The team is fourth from the last place in the Western Conference standings right now after losing four of their previous five games.

The Lakers are coming off 111-95 victory over the Orlando Magic also at the Staples Center on Sunday night, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Four starters scored in double figures for Lakers head coach Luke Walton, namely Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell, Timofey Mozgov, and Luol Deng with 19, 17, 15, and 11 points respectively.

Randle also had nine rebounds and five assists while Russell contributed eight boards, seven assists, and three steals as well. Mozgov had nine rebounds and two assists.

Off the bench, Brandon Ingram netted 17 points with three rebounds and two assists while Lou Williams chipped in 10 points and three assists.

Prediction 

The Blazers are a poor road team with a 6-15 slate so far this season while the Lakers are decent at home with a 10-10 record. LA is predicted to win a close game as they try to even their season series with Portland to 1-1.
