Preview

Boston is on a roll right now with four straight wins. The team has won six of their last seven matches to climb up to the third spot of the Eastern Conference table, one game behind the second-place Raptors and five-and-a-half games behind defending champions and current East leaders Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics had beaten Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans, 117-108, in their most recent match last Saturday at their home court of TD Garden, as per the Boston Herald.

Isaiah Thomas was the man of the match for head coach Brad Stevens as the starting point guard scored 38 points on 13-for-24 shooting, including a 6-for-11 stint from the three-point line. He also had three rebounds, two steals, and one block.

Marcus Smart, who started in place of the injured Avery Bradley, backed up Thomas with 22 points, five boards, six assists, two steals, and one block. Off the bench, Gerald Green and Kelly Olynyk fired 15 and 12 points respectively.

Bradley is still out in this match against the Raptors with an Achilles injury.

Meanwhile, Toronto is reeling at the moment, losing five of their last seven games. The team is still second behind the Cavs in the East, though, but a loss to the Celtics in this match will bring both squads to a tie in the standings.

The Raptors are coming off a 129-122 loss to James Harden and the Houston Rockets last Sunday also at the Air Canada Centre, the NBA's official website reported.

DeMar DeRozan had a big game with 36 points, six rebounds, and five assists but it was not enough to give them the victory over Houston.

DeMarre Carroll almost had a double-double with 26 points and eight boards while Kyle Lowry had 12 points, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Norman Powell was the fourth member of the starting five who scored in double figures with 10 points and three assists.

Prediction

The Celtics are an excellent road team with a 12-8 away record so far this season while the Raptors are also good at home with a 12-6 slate. Boston has the momentum right now and they are the slight favorites to win this match against Toronto.
