Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung to hold ‘Beaming Effect’ charity bazaar and concert on Jan. 13

Sooyoung has been confirmed to hold a charity bazaar called "Beaming Effect" on Jan. 13. On top of that, the Girls' Generation member will simultaneously hold a concert on the same day.

According to Allkpop, the charity bazaar and concert will take place at the SMTOWN THEATRE. "Beaming Effect" is a product of Sooyoung's collective effort with fans, who supported the idol's cause since it was announced on Dec. 20.

Reports stated all proceeds from day one of the charity act will be donated to the Korean Foundation Fighting Blindness.

Further reports stated some of the products available in the bazaar include sweatshirts and eco bags that carry the logo of "Beaming Effect," which was personally designed by Sooyoung.

Aside from those, pre-owned stuff of Sooyoung will be available in the charity bazaar. Ladies will have the chance to purchase the idol's shoes, bags and clothes for a good cause.

On the other hand, Sooyoung's concert at the SMTOWN THEATRE will feature several artists like Yoon Hyung Joo, Lee Dong Woo, Yoon Do Hyun, Eric Nam, Tiffany, Kim Jae Bum, Choi Soo Jin, and Lee Ah Rheum.

Meanwhile, Sooyoung was listed by Soompi among top 10 best idols-turned-actors of 2016. The Girls' Generation took the fourth spot for her role on "Squad 38." The Girls' Generation member played as Chun Sung Hee in the drama series.

Sooyoung began her acting career shortly after debuting with Girls' Generation in 2007. She started with small roles and guest appearances for TV shows and drama series. The idol-turned-actor was given her first lead role in 2012 for "The 3rd Hospital."

Since then, a number of opportunities opened for the acting career of Sooyoung. In 2013, she was included in the lineup of "Dating Agency: Cyrano," where she played as a dating expert.

The following year, Sooyoung landed another lead role for drama series "My Spring Days." Her portrayal of an ill patient earned her a Best Actress in a Miniseries award during the 2014 MBC Drama Awards.
