Freeform's "Shadowhunters" has been renewed for another season and it is looking like fans could expect a family reunion with the Morgenstern. The second season won't be released until late 2017.

In an article published by Screener TV, season 1 left a major cliffhanger for fans of the show after it has revealed that Jace (Dominic Sherwood) and Clary (Katherine McNamara) are brothers and sisters. A reunion is about to happen no matter what after that was spilled and it is looking like it won't be a happy one.

For those who hasn't seen the first season, some of the highlights include Valentine (Alan Sprang) admitting to Jace that he is his dad and he was only using a fake name for the Clave not to find out he is alive. He was then known as Michael Wayland. It is not enough that he shocked his own son with his identity, he needed to kidnap him as well and threat to kill his son's friends, only to get his son on board, as he forms an army of shadowhunters.

Moving on to season 2, Movie News Guide reported that its first episode is entitled "The Guilt Blood." Lots of action is expected to take place, especially when Valentine and The Circle grow more strength and in number. The Shadow World is not going to like it that lots of its members will try to fight Valentine's crew.

On the other hand, the Clave continues to deceive the Shadowhunters and it will confuse some of them, as to who they should be loyal to. There are friendships that won't be expected to happen while some relationships would be put to the test as both parties, the Shadowhunters and Downworlder find their path in a new setting.

Catch the all new season of Shadowhunters via Freeform next year. The network has not announced its airing but it is more likely to be released around the last quarter of 2017.
