Former Girls Generation member Jessica's recent appearance at a fan event has raised questions that the singer is not being permitted to go on music shows by her former agency.

Jessica recently attended a fan event and a clip from the Q&A session at the event has led many to point fingers at SM Entertainment. The video shows the artist reading a question from a post-it note and put it back up on the board after appearing slightly uncomfortable with what was written on the note.

The host then asked the K-pop idol why she couldn't answer the question, to which Jessica replied that she would try. "Don't you want to go on music shows?" the question read, according to All Kpop. "About music shows... um... I do want to go on music shows," she retorted with an affirmative nod of the head. "Would you be able to understand if I say it like that...?"

Jessica's vague response led many fans to the conclusion that she has found herself in a similar situation as JYJ after leaving the K-pop boy band TVXQ and SM Entertainment. Since leaving, Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Junsu were blocked from making appearances on music shows after SM Entertainment reportedly threatened broadcasters with withholding popular SM artists, according to KPopStarz.

"From what I can understand, that there are some parties who are preventing Jessica to perform on music show," said one fan, while another wrote, "Jessica's answer was very vague, to be honest. But if she does mean that SM is preventing her from going on music shows, then that sucks and it's unfair to her."

Jessica recently released her new single "Wonderland," which is one of the featured tracks of her second mini-album of the same name. The MV of the song has already garnered more than 2.5 million views on YouTube. Check out the magical MV below:
