ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" Season 20 winner Rumer Willis joins the cast of the hit hip hop drama series "Empire" Season 3 for a recurring role. She will soon enter the Lyons' den.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rumer will play a brilliant but volatile singer-songwriter Tory Ash in "Empire" Season 3. Her talent becomes invaluable to Jamal (Jussie Smollett) as he creates his most important musical work yet. Her own attempt to make a crossover comeback and her unwillingness to shy away from controversy will have ripple effects throughout the series.

Rumer joins an impressive group of "Empire" Season 3 guest stars. These include "Murder in the First" star Taye Diggs, "A Christmas Melody" singer-actress Mariah Carey, "Creed" actress Phylicia Rashad, "Baller Blockin'" actor Brian Williams, "The Perfect Match" actor French Montana, "Brotherly Love" actor Romeo Miller, and actress-singer Sierra McClain.

Rumer is perhaps best known as a second-generation actress and as the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, TV Line reported. She should have no trouble belting out tunes on the Fox drama "Empire" Season 3. She made her Broadway debut last year as Roxy Hart in "Chicago."

Rumer's role in the "Empire" Season 3 brings her back to the small screen. Her previous TV credits include episodes of "90210," "Hawaii Five-0," "CSI:NY," and "Pretty Little Liars." Her film credits are "What Lies Ahead" and "The House Bunny."

Rumer will next be seen in a lead role in the upcoming movie musical "Hello, Again," which is an indie feature adaptation of Michael John LaChiusa's 1994 chamber musical. She is represented by APA, Untitled, and Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown.

Co-created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, the casting comes as "Empire" Season 3 nears its winter finale on Dec. 14. It will return for the second half of its third season on March 22, 2017. Lee Daniels' girl group drama "Star" will take over "Empire's" time slot starting in January.

"Empire" Season 3 airs every Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
