Meizu continues to challenge popular mobile phone brands by releasing their flagship at a very competitive price. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus and M3X is no exception as it features powerful specs that rivals the flagship mobile phones from Samsung, LG and other manufacturers without pushing an astronomical price tag.

Camera, OS and More

According to GSM Arena, the Pro 6 Plus pushes the envelope in mobile phone specs especially with their camera. The device features 12MP rear camera equipped with Sony IMX386 - a big powerful sensor that will delight any photography fan. The dual tone, ten LED flash also ensures their users do not end up with darker than expected images. Complementing the 12MP rear camera is the 5MP front camera.

Just like Samsung, Meizu also made some tweaks on the stock android by offering Flyme 6.0. Although the final review about the tweak remains to be seen, the improvements of Meizu on its previous versions is very promising.

Meizu distances itself from other premium mobile phones by offering 3D Press and lightning fast finger print scanner. Owners of the Pro 6 Plus will virtually swipe their finger to open their phone because it can scan for only 0.15s. The device also comes with a dedicated audio chip for the needed extra boost on music.

The M3X on the other hand, has the same camera feature but on a relatively smaller body with 5.5" screen (Pro 6 Plus comes with 5.7 inches). It also has the same fingerprint capability, quick charge feature and USB C-type port.

Price and Availability

Both devices will soon be on sale on China with a converted base price point of $436 (64GB) for Pro 6 Plus and $247 (3GB RAM) for M3X according to Price Pony. As of this writing, no word yet on its international release but it's successful foray in China could mean an international release is sooner than expected.
