Fans will soon be happy to know that the fourth season of "Orange is the New Black" will premiere on June 17. The story of the fourth installment was adapted from Piper Kerman's "Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison" memoir.
Inmates from Litchfield Penitentiary are making their way back to Netflix this coming summer. Reports say that the fourth season will focus on inmates' handling issues such as race, diversity and overcrowding in prisons.
Jenji Kohan, the maker of the series, comes up with new details of the upcoming show during the press tour of the Television Critics Association. She said that the theme is going to be really hard this year. They will be handling the categorization of people into their little different groups, the transformation of the prison, as well as political agendas.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 theme is really difficult to handle especially since the creator and the team started handling the political agendas to create a storyline of the series. Viewers can also see exciting new twists in the story, according to reports.
Kohan also mentioned that it is going to be a big surprise, so people can expect fun when it comes to race, hate and all other things such as current events.
Several characters are also expected to go through other changes. The dynamics of the precincts have been changing, especially with the involvement of new characters in the season 4.
Kohan shares few details about the characters in the series like Piper Chapman, who is played by Taylor Schilling. Piper Chapman will turn to be a less likable character in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4, especially when she gets acquainted with Brook Soso played by Kimiko Glenn, who is deceived to turn into a prison wife, and ends up having sex with another woman prisoner.
The maker of "Orange is the New Black" continues saying that Piper will definitely be on a journey with unexpected changes of likability.
