South Korean artist Hongki of the boy group F.T. Island has recently spilled the reason behind their latest single “Prayer.”

The KPop idol revealed on his latest social media post that “Pray” was created in remembrance of the Sewol ferry incident which happened in April 2014. And although the song was released 2 years later, Hongki stated that the song is dedicated to everyone who has been part of the tragedy.

"I know I'm saying this late, but it was a song for you guys. It was a song for a suffocating reality. #SewolFerry #Pray,” the caption of Hongki’s post reads.

According to a report by All KPop, “Pray” was composed by the star’s fellow group member Jonghun. The news agency added that Hongki and the latter, along with Jaejin and Seunghyun were the writers of the song which is also the title track of their fifth album titled “I Will”.

Meanwhile, on his recent guesting on KBS CoolFM’s “Park Hyung Soo's Radio Show”, Hongki shared how he became good friends with actor Kim Soo Hyun. Furthermore, he also revealed the things that he does when he is attracted to someone.

"Kim Soon Hyun and I randomly ran into each other at a bowling alley...We talk about bowling at lot, and we play games together," said Hongki as quoted by All KPop.

He added: "I meant to say that I keep in contact with that person when I'm attracted. We meet, go eat, watch movies, and then the relationship naturally works out. If we decide that being friends is better, than we just naturally become friends."

Hongki started his entertainment career in 2002 the TV drama series Magic Kid Masuri. Recently, the star admits that he is currently dating actress Han Bo Reum.
