'The Water Diviner' star Olga Kurylenko set as star in cop crime thriller ‘Jane Millen’

"The Water Diviner" star Olga Kurylenko is set as star in cop crime thriller "Jane Millen." She is a seasoned cop battling her own demons.

According to Variety, Kurylenko will play the title character Jane Millen in the independent crime thriller "Jane Millen." Her experience in playing strong, complicated characters and the depth of her talent not only inspires tremendous confidence but also great excitement about what she will bring to this titular character Jane Millen, director Cynthia Mort said.

"Jane Millen" centers on Millen who focuses on her job as a police detective in order to gain a sense of control as her family life spins out of control, Deadline reported. Millen is put on a suspicious murder case of an affluent couple who got mixed up with the wrong man.

In the plot of "Jane Millen," her investigation takes her down a rabbit hole when affairs, jealousies, and dark secrets emerge that threaten to involve her own private life. She finds herself in the middle of an investigation with surprising results that no one could have seen coming.

"Jane Millen" is written and directed by Mort, whose credits include the biopic "Nina," starring Zoe Saldana, and Jodie Foster's "The Brave One." It will be produced by 13 Films President Tannaz Anisi, Karen Kehela Sherwood, and former Endgame executive Greg Schenz.

"Jane Millen" will be executive produced by Jai Khanna of Brillstein Entertainment Partners. 13 Films is structuring the finance and packaging as well as handling the worldwide sales. The company will also present to buyers at the American Film Market.

Kurylenko most recently appeared in Giuseppe Tornatore's "La Corrispondenza" with Jeremy Irons and "A Perfect Day," co-starring Benicio del Toro and Tim Robbins. She is also starring with Aaron Paul in the sci-fi thriller "Android."

Kurylenko is repped by WME in the U.S and Tavistock Wood Management in the U.K. Her prior film credits are "Quantum Of Solace" opposite Daniel Craig and "Oblivion" with Tom Cruise.

The production of "Jane Millen" is set to begin in April 2017.
