As she prepares to leave the White House, Michelle Obama stars in the new spread of Vogue. She said she will still work in public service and use her talent of serving other people.

The First Lady wore an elegant white Carolina Herrera dress on the cover of Vogue's December issue, Daily Mail reported. The 52-year-old Mother in Chief said that living in the White House can somehow be isolating and that eight years is enough. Before Donald Trump was declared as the new president elect, she already told Vogue in September that it is time for her and Barack Obama to move on.

She said that she will leave the White House the same way she came in, which is never knowing how things will turn out until she's there, Vogue reported. She said she doesn't have an idea how it's like being the former First Lady of the United States. She will still engage in public service. She feels alive the when she shares her gifts of helping other people, she told Vogue.

One notable thing about the First Lady is her skill at public speaking. Her speech in July's Democratic National Convention is a prime example of her talent in speaking. Focused on their family moto, "When they go low, we go high," she delivered an electrifying and inspirational speech in that event.

With all the power available as a First Lady, one way of being grounded in reality is by spending time with young people, especially the students. She put up a mentoring program for girls who are disadvantage right after she came in the White House. The First Lady's Reach Higher project executive director Eric Waldo said education is very important for her because she had a bad experience when she was still in high school. Now, she wants to empower the young to pursue their education.

She said that kids are watching her every day and they hang on to every word that she says and what she says and how she dresses like. She keeps on telling the youth to not wait for someone to come along and tell them how special they are, because that day may never come.
