Virtual reality gamers are in for a treat with the announcement of Zotac's "VR GO" backpack PC with GeForce GTX 1070. The company said that regardless of the positioning, the wearable PC can be utilized like a standard desktop.
Mostly known for its graphic cards and small form-factor PCs. In fact, Zotac's "VR GO" rivals some full sized desktop computers when it comes to specifications, Tech Report reported.
The company built a PC with a Core i7 processor and a hot-swappable battery. Users will be able to monitor their battery life with the parallel rows of LEDs on the back. Similar to the EN1070, the "VR GO" has spaces for two DDR4 SO-DIMMs, a 2.5" drive and an M.2 SSD, Other parts include two USB 3.0 ports on one side, two HDMI outputs, and an SD card reader, SlashGear reported
Inside it houses a proprietary low-profile air cooling system that is yet to be identified by the company. Of course, it comes with the standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity including dual Gigabit Ethernet connectors, two DisplayPorts and microphone jacks. The package comes with a removable battery pack that enables autonomous operation for several hours.
At core, the backpack desktop is a small form factor PC to which Zotac is known for. The only difference is that this time, you can take the PC on your back as you go.
Zotac said the device is expected to be released by the end of this year but there is no word yet on its pricing. See the device in action below:
