Top 10 ‘Maze Runner’ star Ki Hong Lee’s TV roles

Before he was known for playing Minho in the 2014 film "The Maze Runner," South Korean-American actor Ki Hong Lee played several roles on TV. He continued to play TV roles before he reprised his role as Minho in the 2015 sequel "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials."

10. Student in "The Secret Life of the American Teenager"

Aired on July 5, 2010, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" Season 3 episode 5 titled "Which Way Did She Go?" featured Lee as a student.

9. Delivery guy in "The Client List"

Lee played a delivery guy in "The Client List" Season 1 episode 2 titled "Turn the Page." The episode was directed by Allan Arkush and it aired on April 15, 2012.

8. Busboy in "Modern Family"

Directed by Michael Alan Spiller, "Modern Family" Season 2 episode 9 titled "Mother Tucker" featured Lee as a busboy. The episode aired on Nov. 24, 2010.

7. Clayton in "Victorious"

The first TV role played by Lee was named Clayton. It was a character featured in "Victorious" Season 1 episode 7 titled "Robarazzi," which aired on June 4, 2010.

6. David Lin in "Blue Bloods"

Aired on Oct. 18, 2013, "Blue Bloods" Season 4 episode 4 featured Lee as David Lin. The episode was directed by Robert Duncan McNeill. The episode aired on Oct. 18, 2013.

5. Peter Kim in "The Whispers"

Lee played Peter Kim in the pilot episode of the first season of "The Whispers." Aired on June 1, 2015, the episode was directed by Mark Romanek and Brad Turner.

4. Hector in "New Girl"

In "New Girl" Season 1 episode 7, Lee joined Raven Goodwin as guest stars. "The Maze Runner" star played a character named Hector.

3. Chris Hoffman in "NCIS"

 "NCIS" Season 11 episode 15 tiled "Bulletproof" featured Lee as a teenager named Chris Hoffman. Aired on Feb. 25, 2014, the episode was directed by Leslie Libman.

2. Paul in "The Nine Lives of Chloe King"

In 2011, Lee starred in "The Nine Lives of Chloe King." He played Paul Chun, one of the best friends of Chloe King (Skyler Samuels) and is dating Amy Tiffany Martins (Grace Phipps).

1. Dong Nguyen in "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"

As part of the recurring cast of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," Lee plays the GED study buddy and love interest of Kimmy Schmidt (Elle Kemper) named Dong Nguyen. Also starring Tituss Burgess, Carol Kane and Jane Krakowski, the sitcom recently renewed by Netflix for a third season set to premiere on April 15, Entertainment Weekly reported. 

There are still no details about Lee's next film after "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials." He has yet to star in a South Korean film.

In an interview with Dazed & Confused, Lee pointed out that being Korean is a part of his identity. He said he kept his given name Ki Hong because he identifies as Korean and he does not want to hide it.
