Capcom has been teasing its fans with the upcoming "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." A new teaser has surfaced and it hints that a female character will be returning to the latest installment of the franchise from the previous titles. And another short trailer also features the return of the item storage aspects as well.

In a report from Gamespot, the new trailer showed the protagonist in first person perspective answering a ringing phone. Somebody answers in a female voice on the other line, which remains a mystery and is up to debate among fans on who that is.

The video was also posted in the official Twitter account of "Resident Evil" with the caption mysteriously asking who that voice is. Fans went crazy with excitement trying to debate on whose voice it belonged to. The most probable candidates were the long time classic and lovely trouble maker Ada Wong and British-accented partner of Chris Redfield in "Resident Evil V," Sheva Alomar. The latter may be more likely since the voice quality and the accent on the other side of the telephone matches Sheva's. Anyway, we wouldn't know until the game comes out.

In other news from Game Rant, the next teaser features another first person perspective of the protagonist as he walks closer towards a heavy duty crate. The crate was revealed to be an ammo crate which also contained a pump-action shotgun. This may indicate that the item storage feature may be returning in the seventh and latest installment of the "Resident Evil" series. The feature in the previous games allows players to store and organize numerous items like mostly ammo, weapons, and healing herbs among other things.

The year 2016 may be drawing to a close but there are still a couple of months ahead. It may be possible that Capcom might add more teasers to the highly-anticipated sequel. The latest installment of the franchise has already proven itself to be very promising, with a style very different from the previous game while trying to maintain the essence of the series.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is slated for release on Jan. 24 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
