Flagship phones are the new trend in the smartphone industry today and Microsoft wouldn't want to be left behind. The tech giant company is reported to be working on a Microsoft Surface Phone 2016. It seems that Microsoft has more big plans although they already have the Windows 10 phone.

The company is reported to hold an event in New York City and is anticipated to unveil new Microsoft products together with the new Microsoft Surface Phone 2016. Tech analysts and fans alike are sure that aside from the new phone, other new Microsoft products will certainly be discussed and launched.

Expected features on the next generation device include the integration of Kaby Lake processors and Windows 10 Redstone 2 update that delays the release. Other specs are expectations that the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 will come with the following; 8MP front camera, 16MP main camera, Thunderbolt 3, rechargeable Surface Pen, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, AMD or Nvidia Pascal GPU, 4K Ultra HD display and 16GB RAM.

Microsoft has announced its Windows 10 event on October 26, 2016, in New York. During the launch, it is rumored that a new Surface desktop will be unveiled but at the same time could use the event to release the Surface Pro 5, PC Advisor reported.

The event is expected to focus on Windows 10 software updates, OEM devices, Windows 10 software updates and Xbox related updates. Invites were already sent out for the Microsoft fall event that will start at 10 AM ET.
