Rumormongers say that the iPad Mini 5's release date would be in March 2017, and is rumored to have the same features as the iPhone 7.

It has been over a year since the last Apple iPad Mini 4 was released. Much to the dismay of Apple devices' enthusiasts, the iPad Mini 5 was no show at the unveiling of the iPhone 7. Some speculates that the iPad Mini 5 could not be ever released as the company might be reducing the Apple devices' lineup. There is also rumor that says Apple is totally eliminating the iPod lineup and would just be focusing on the Apple phablet variants.

Following the iPhone 7's specs trend, it is possible that Apple could be removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack. But needless to say, the iPad Mini 5's screen size would definitely be bigger than that of the iPhone 7's.

Modeling from iPhone 7, the iPad Mini 5's specs would feature an A10 chip with 2GB of RAM. Many believe that the 3D Touch panel would be integrated to the Apple's iPad Mini 5 tablet, and there are leaks claiming that this device would showcase a slimmer design compared to its predecessors, which are already incredibly thin at 6.1mm, at only 5mm thickness.

Although there are new specs in the Apple's mini tablet, the camera's features remain the same, as there are talks that the iPad Mini 5 would still have an 8MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front facing snapper.

There were speculations that the iPad Mini 5's price tag would be playing at $450 for a 32GB model, which is expected to be the iPad Mini's new minimum storage capacity. The previous model, iPad Mini 4's minimum storage memory capacity was at 16GB and was sold for $399 when it was launched.

If there would still no announcements in the next two to three months or after January 2017 as the latest, expect that this iPad Mini 5 is really not within the plans of Apple for now or in the next half of that year.
