Stiff competition in the tech industry really pushes manufacturers like Asus to bring more on the table. Asus' newest ultrabook, Zenbook 3, is definitely one gadget hard to miss. It will also be a good competition to Apple's Macbook and here's why.
Design and Built Quality
Zenbook 3 sports an all-aluminum build incorporating its signature spun-metal sheen iconic to the Zen series. It has a 12.5-inch screen with thin black bezels. The entire ultrabook will only weigh 2.64 pounds which is just 11.9 mm thick. What makes it stand out to the competition is its integration of aluminum alloy used in aircrafts. This entails a stronger yet light weight built. Zenbook 3 is also available in different color variants namely, Royal Blue. Rose Gold, and Quartz Grey.
Specifications
Talking about hardware, Zenbook 3 will have more than impressive specifications, Scoop Everyday reported. It will run an Intel Core i7 processor, 1 Terabyte SSD storage, 16 GB of RAM, full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, fast charging USB type- C port and an estimated 9-hour battery life. Despite being very thin, they still included a headphone jack and the mentioned USB Type-C port. It will run preactivated Windows 10 out of the box.
Price
For most consumers, the price is definitely the selling point. Is the device worth every buck? In Zenbook 3's case, it is definitely yes. According to Techradar, the premium model with the above mentioned specs will cost for $1999. However, if your budget is tight, you can go for the two more versions with slightly lower specifications. By the way, this is a lot cheaper as compared to Mac especially considering the specs.
Apple's Macbook in no longer the powerhouse in the thin all-metal ultrabooks. Asus proves that even brand can offer a good fight and can even threaten Macbook's domination in the ultrabook class.
