Former Miss Universe Vietnam contender Quynh Mai is now on the running to become "Asia's Next Top Model." The beauty queen and aspiring model flew to Singapore last week to compete with 14 other hopefuls from all over Asia.
"I'm very glad to represent 'Vietnam in Asia's Next Top Model,'" the 20-year-old model stated. "I will try my best at the event."
Mai, a professional dancer, has also made appearances on "So You Think You Can Dance" in 2012. She was also one of the finalists to compete for the title of "Vietnam's Next Top Model" two years ago.
However, "Asia's Next Top Model" could give her the break she rightfully deserves.
Mai is 1.71-meters (5-foot-six) tall with a measurement of 88-66-101 cm, Vietnam Net reported. At 20 years old, the model has a bright future and a stellar career ahead of her.
"Asia's Next Top Model" is the biggest modeling competition in Asia. So far, it has three successful cycles (seasons) under its belt. The winner from the most recent cycle is Ayu Gani from Indonesia.
Mai will be the fourth Vietnamese to enter the international competition and, hopefully, the first to win.
The show is hosted by Georgina Wilson, an international model of British and Filipino descent. She is one of the most sought-after endorsers in the Philippines and has graced the runway for some of the biggest designers in Asia. She also appeared in an episode of "America's Next Top Model Cycle 17" as the stylist for an underwear shoot set in Greece, according to GMA News
"Asia's Next Top Model" is currently holding casting events online and in various locations in Asia for its fourth cycle. Wilson will be returning as the host with Joey Mead-King, Alex Perry, and Mike Rosenthal as model mentors and judges. .
