Following the confirmation of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" Season 4 release is the immediate leak of a juicy detail that the agency will be under a new directorship this upcoming season.

Clark Gregg, who plays the role of Agent Coulson and the agency's director for the previous seasons, has confirmed that he got ousted from the directorship. However, when asked who is going to replace him, the actor's tongue remained zip, and claimed not to be informed of the name yet.

Moreover, when asked if he has someone in mind, Gregg immediately said that if he were to choose, Agent May (played by Ming-Na Wen) would be the right person to claim the directorship in "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4. He even said in his interview with Entertainment Weekly that "I'd love it if it was her. That would be magnificent. She has earned that right and she is a commander that Coulson would absolutely follow with absolute loyalty."

Fans are positive that the sudden change in "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 will bring unexpected deviations in the story arc, as Elizabeth Henstridge, who plays as Agent Simmons, related to the press that the show will certainly have a change of theme, TV Line reported. She even added that there will also some surprises that may be restricted to certain age range.

On the other hand, ABC president Channing Dungrey explained why there was a change of time slot for "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4. He stated that next season's new timeslot will allow "Agents of SHIELD" to go edgier and darker.

While fans still remains dark on who the new "Agents of SHIELD" director will be, the latest casting has already been made public. According to We Got Discovered, AIDA - an enigmatic and attractive robot - is set to join the team. It can be remembered that in the finale episode of Season 3, Dr. Holden Radcliffe is seen to be having a little chat with a being, only known as AIDA. True to what fans expect, AIDA is the same Artificial Intelligence Data Analyser that is expected to be seen in the upcoming "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" Season 4 will return to the small screen on Sept. 20 at 10pm.
