Win Morisaki Casts as Daito in Upcoming Steven Spielberg Sci-Fi Movie ‘Ready Player One’

Win Morisaki, a Japanese actor and lead vocalist of PrizmaX, will be making his big Hollywood debut in the movie adaptation of Ernest Cline's best-selling novel, Ready Player One.

Morisaki, 25, will star in Ready Player One, which is directed by Steven Spielberg, alongside Tye Sheridan as Wade Owen Watts, Olivia Cooke as Art3mis, T.J. Miller as i-R0k, Simon Pegg as Ogden Morrow and Ben Mendelsohn as Nolan Sorrento.

Similar to the book, the movie will be set in the OASIS, a virtual world created by James Donovan Halliday. There he hid an Easter Egg. And upon his death, the search for the egg turned into a contest. The first person to find it will receive his treasure and have total control over the OASIS.

Several gunters who will try to look for the Easter Egg, one of which is Daito, Morisaki's character. Daito works with Shoto. While they are sometimes tense, they do have a friendly relationship with Wade, Art3mis, and another character, Aech.

Ready Player One is produced by Village Roadshow, and Warner Bros. Production is scheduled to start this summer, with the movie slated to premiere in spring 2018. It was supposed to premiere in December of 2017, but the producers decided to postpone its release to avoid going head-to-head with Star Wars: Episode VIII.

As for Morisaki, repped by Japan's Stardust Promotion, he has already made appearances in several TV dramas and movies in Japan. However, Ready Player One will be his first Hollywood movie.
