KPop group MONSTA X will be using its influence for a good cause as the members were recently appointed as the ambassadors for a youth counseling line in South Korea’s most populous province, the Gyeonggido province.

The group’s appointment will encourage the troubled youth in Gyeonggido to seek for counseling and share their problems with the experts. All they have to do is dial the Gyeonggido Youth Call hotline 1388.

In the photo shared by the group on their official Twitter account on May 10, the MONSTA X boys looked delighted as they present their plaque during their appointment ceremony. The post has received 24,000 likes, 12,000 retweets, and thousands of congratulatory messages from their fans.

According to the committee which appointed the group as quoted by All Kpop: "As situations, such as school violence, running away from home, and other problems youths face, get more serious, we hope MONSTA X promoting this help line will multiple its effectiveness. We hope for youths to use the phone counseling to overcome their difficulties."

Meanwhile, MONSTA X’s debut album “The Clan pt 2.5 BEAUTIFUL” has placed the 7th spot in Gaon chart’s “National Physical Albums Ranking”, All KPop reports. Placing on the first spot is Taeyeon with her “My Voice Deluxe Edition”, followed by WINNER’s “FATE NUMBER FOR”, TEEN TOP’s “HIGH FIVE”, GOT7’s “FLIGHT LOG _ ARRIVAL”, IU’s “Palette”, and Jonghyun’s “The Collection: Story Op.2”.

MONSTA X made their entertainment debut in 2015 under the management of Starship Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members namely Shownu, Wonho, Hyungwon, Kihyun, Jooheon, Minhyuk, and I.M. They also appeared in TV drama series “The Producers”, “High-End Crush”, and “Goodnight, Teacher” as well as the variety shows including “Weekly Idol”, “Running Man”, “Heroes of Remix”, and many more.
