Ji Chang Wook is best known for his extreme roles in "The K2," "Healer" and "Fabricated City." Given his tough-looking physique, the actor received much attention for perfectly playing each character.
The rising actor is now ready to take on a different challenge to showcase his lighter side in "Suspicious Partner" slated to premiere tonight, May 10. Ji Chang Wook will play the role of a genius prosecutor named Noh Ji Wook.
The 29-year-old actor said he is expecting a lot from the project because of its entertaining storyline and casting lineup. Ji Chang Wook is also looking forward to develop a close bond with his co-actors as they work together for the SBS series.
When asked about his character in "Suspicious Partner," the Hallyu star guaranteed fans can expect a great chemistry between Noh Ji Wook and Nam Ji Hyun's character as Bong Hee.
"Whether it's his career or his life philosophy, he's very stubborn," he said as per Soompi. "His stubbornness comes from his uniqueness so I think the audience can relate to his charms."
Nam Ji Hyun, on the other hand, shared the same sentiment with her leading man. The "Shopping King Louie" actress said she is looking forward to show a different side of her in the romcom series.
"Bong Hee is surprisingly simple and cool. Overall she is very energetic, but she also has a very worldly side that takes care of her own profit. Of course she can be like a vitamin too. She is very bright and refreshing," she described her character.
The latest set of still cuts released by SBS ahead of the premiere tonight showed Nam Ji Hyun's encounter with her cheating boyfriend who will be played by 2PM's Chansung. According to Allkpop, the teaser photos were all about the first meetings of the four characters along with Choi Tae Joon.
At some point, Nam Ji Hyun will dine with Choi Tae Joon to talk about something important. The "Hello Counselor" host will play as Ji Eun Hyuk, a lawyer who came from a difficult past.
"Suspicious Partner" airs Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 pm (KST) on SBS.
