Nicki Minaj continues her rise to the world of pop culture as she continues to collaborate with various artists after releasing her album a few years back. But the "Anaconda" rapper could finally release another album soon.
Minaj to Release an Album in 2017?
It's strange to think that the last Nicki Minaj album is nearly three years old. "Anaconda" is now a pop reference culture instead of a fresh beat from the one most vocal of the genre. But 2017 could be the year a brand new album could refresh the nearly ageing library of original songs and she teased about it in one of the activities that constantly made her relevant to this day - collaborations.
According to Uproxx, Minaj's latest collaboration with Major Lazer in the single "Run Up" feature a very telling line about her plans in the future. She hinted on her rap solo, "Bout to drop a album, this is my fourth..." which obviously refers to her upcoming fourth album although she didn't added anything else in the song.
Title, Collaborator and More
Although the song did not provide anything else other than a random blurb from Minaj on her upcoming fourth album, Billboard actually have a pretty extensive information on the possible title and collaborators. Without revealing much, the rapper teased that the initials of her new album is "MYOB." Of course, it could mean "Mind Your Own Business" but it could also mean more than that.
As for collaborators, Billboard has only named one person so far: DJ Mustard. He did confirm he's working on a brand new album with Minaj but he's also unsure when the album will see the light of day. Hopefully, her third album "The Pinkprint" will not reach its third year this December before another album is released. For now, enjoy her latest collab with Major Lazer including her tease on her upcoming album:
