SBS has confirmed that variety program "Running Man" is adding two new permanent cast members to the show, namely Yang Se Chan and Jeon So Min. Get to know more about the pair here!
They previously appeared in 'Running Man'
Yang Se Chan and Jeon So Min appeared in past episodes of "Running Man" as guests. At the time, the show saw a steep spike in ratings, Koreaboo reported. A representative of "Running Man" said it was mainly for this reason that Yang Se Chan and Jeon So Min were chosen to be the new additions of the show, in hopes of picking up the ratings.
Who is Jeon So Min?
Jeon So Min is a South Korean actress best known for her leading role in the drama "Princess Aurora." For her role as Oh Ro Ra in the MBC drama series, Jeon won Best New Actress from the 2013 MBC Drama Awards and Drama Star Award from the 9th Asia Model Festival Awards. She previously dated actor Yoon Hyun Min.
Before becoming a regular member of the "Running Man" cast, Jeon guest starred in two past episodes. Aside from Song Ji Hyo, she is the only other female personality to become a main cast member.
Who is Yang Se Chan
Yang Se Chan is a South Korean comedian and older brother of "Radio Star" and "Infinity Challenge" mainstay Yang Se Hyun. Like Jeon So Min, Yang was brought in for "Running Man" because of his chemistry with the original cast members during his past guest appearance.
The "Running Man" cast approved their casting
According to Hancinema, the older members of "Running Man" wholeheartedly agreed to have Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan join the show as permanent members. They are the first two new additions who aren't part of the original cast, following Song Ji Hyo who was initially a guest star and later became a regular starting Episode 7.
