The release of the upcoming sixth installment to the book series of "A Song of Ice and Fire" to be entitled "The Winds of Winter" by George R.R. Martin has been one of the most anticipated books of all time. The fans of the book series have been waiting for this for about six years already, and now they have come up with more and more theories about its upcoming storyline.

George R.R. Martin's upcoming book "The Winds of Winter" has been waited upon by the fans of the book series for nearly six years now. There hasn't been any announcement on its release date, or even a hint of what to expect. Although Martin has given a few teases, nothing would go as far as specifically hinting out a plot on the story. However, diehard fans of the book series have come up with their own theories on its storyline, as reported bya user on Reddit. According to an online discussion that went around in Reddit, Martin could be planning to end the book in a similar concept with the "Black Death" plague, quoting a medieval quote made by Barbara Tuchman back in 1978.

According to Daily Telegraph, he has even engaged in online wars with journalists who have called him off on this matter. The fans will now just have to wait for the official announcement on the book's release date.

Based on the quote, it implies a wrath to happen in the area that is caused by unknowable forces of the earth. First, it has been theorized by the people to be the wrath of God, but sooner contemplates on their lives and later comes up with a different prospect. The survivors of the plague could have been experiencing lifeless winter season as a consequence to their actions.

Given the title of Martin's book which is "The Winds of Winter," it is safe to speculate that it may be one of the directions he is going for in his storyline. Since he has previously hinted major deaths to occur in the book, this is definitely a possibility. Nevertheless, these will remain mere speculations since Martin has admitted to having a hard time writing the book.
