The brains behind the film adaptation of "Cheese in the Trap" have finally spoken up to give us an update on the upcoming Park Hae Jin-starrer film.
While many are wondering if the big screen adaptation has something new to offer, creators of "Cheese in the Trap" movie assured they have prepared a new approach on the webtoon series.
"The movie version's script has been completed early. It would be difficult to say that it contains the original's full story," Mountain Movement Story said as per Soompi.
The network added, "Although the film will not stray from the original framework of the webtoon, it will be a completely different take on "Cheese in the Trap" than the drama version."
Previously, fans thought there was something off with the casting of the film adaptation. Unlike the lineup of the come-of-age drama series, the big screen edition rather casted actors in their 30s for the upcoming movie.
"Man to Man" actor Park Hae Jin will reprise his role as Yoo Jung, while Oh Yeon Seo has been confirmed to take the role of Hong Seol in "Cheese in the Trap" movie. On the other hand, Park Ki Woong and Yoon In Young will take over the second leads as Baek In Ho and Baek In Ha, respectively.
And just recently, 2NE1's Sandara Park and rookie actor Kim Hyun Jin were confirmed to play as Jang Bo Ra and Kwon Eun Taek in the upcoming movie as reported by Allkpop.
Contrary to the drama edition of the webtoon series, fans can expect a better ending for Yoo Jung and Hong Seol in the film. Meanwhile, cast members of "Cheese in the Trap" movie had their first meeting last Saturday, March 25.
The film adaptation of "Cheese in the Trap" will start rolling in April.
