Lee Bo Young is feeling no pressure after taking over the spot of Ji Sung's "Defendant" which successfully ended with a nationwide viewership of 28.3 percent.

In fact, Lee Bo Young's "Whisper" mustered 13.9 percent ratings for its premiere episode aired Monday. The SBS drama is currently leading against "Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People" with 13.8  and "Perfect Wife" with 6.4 percent ratings.

"Whisper" follows the story of a female detective and a righteous judge in their quest to uncover a huge corruption controversy involving Korea's biggest law firm. Lee Bo Young takes the role of Shin Young Joo, while Lee Sang Yoon plays as Lee Dong Joon.

For its first episode, Lee Bo Young has already wowed the viewers with acting prowess. Soompi cited the actress has been getting good feedbacks for her professionalism on the set.

"Even after filming, Lee Bo Young's eyes were still filled with tears and she was in deep emotion. We feel a sense of security in her thorough character analysis and acting," a production staff said.

Allkpop reported "Whisper" served as her comeback project after shying away from the small screen for the past three years. Lee Bo Young's last drama project was "God's Gift" wherein she played as a screenwriter.

"I try to pick interesting projects. My personal satisfaction matters more than the viewership ratings. I want to present a well-made project," she said when asked about her ongoing drama.

The 38-year-old actress also thanked her husband, Ji Sung, for paving a hopeful path for her through "Defendant." However, Lee Bo Young added there is no need to compare "Whisper" to the success of its predecessor.

"I am confident that this drama will be good because I am having a great time while filming it," the actress insisted.

Catch "Whisper" every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. only on SBS.
