Namgoong Min is drawing much attention for his role in "Chief Kim." In fact, the character has been receiving praises for bringing positivity in Korean households.

Not only that, the comedy series continues to grow in terms of ratings as more and more viewers find relief in watching workplace dramas.

During an interview with "Entertainment Weekly," the actor shared he always tries to build rapport with his co-actors to develop a connection with them. "I think that I always do my best to do my part as an actor," Namgoong Min said as per Soompi.

He continued, "I've heard from people that I usually have great chemistry with my co-stars. I try to form a strong bond by talking to my co-stars a lot. I think we feed off each other's energy when we're acting."

And it appears that Namgoong Min's effort to connect with his co-actors in "Chief Kim" is paying off.

Since the comedy series started in January, the actor has been gaining good feedbacks not only for his cheeky personality in the drama, but also for his bromance with 2PM's Junho.

When asked about his popularity as "Chief Kim," Namgoong Min thought it was his playful disposition that charmed the viewers. "He's comical at times and delightfully honest at times," he said.

The actor added, "He's a little crazy too, but he's always full of warmth and caring for others, and I think that's what makes him so lovable."

Aside from Namgoong Min, viewers also acknowledged Junho's acting in "Chief Kim." According to Allkpop, the 2PM member previously said he had to go through rough diet for his villainous role in the comedy series.

The singer-turned-actor revealed he had to cut down his food intake from 3 to 1 meal per day to be fit. Apart from being cautious of his diet, Junho also spend 1 to 2 hours to work out.

Catch Namgoong Min and Junho in "Chief Kim" every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 p.m. on KBS2.
