Nam Tae Hyun is one lucky idol for having a bunch of thoughtful fans!
In a recent Instagram post, the former WINNER member revealed his fans have stepped up on his behalf to stop some netizens from spreading false reports about him.
The singer said he got a call from the police, asking for his consent on a report submitted by the fans. "They said that my fans reported on the people who wrote malicious comments and spread rumors," Nam Tae Hyun said as per Soompi.
He continued, "This is the last straw. Please stop spreading senseless rumors via Twitter, Instagram, and Instiz. Please delete them all."
Nam Tae Hyun said he will observe the situation for a week before he will provide his statement to the authorities.
It has been over three months since the idol announced his departure from WINNER and YG Entertainment. However, it seems that controversies won't leave him alone.
According to Allkpop, the label stated Nam Tae Hyun's exit from the boy group was due to his mental health issue. YG Entertainment added they have decided to let go of the artist since his condition has been affecting the band.
Following the announcement, the former WINNER member has been receiving criticisms and personal attacks from the netizens.
Most of these attackers slammed Nam Tae Hyun for his decision to leave the group, while others are just anti-fans who would go an extra mile to defame the image of the singer.
Some of them would even compare the former WINNER member to Sulli who is often the subject of the netizens' rants. "Somehow for [netizens], Nam Tae Hyun is the next Sulli, if you know what I mean. Everything he does always wrong for them," a commenter said.
On the other hand, Nam Tae Hyun's fans are just hopeful that the idol will give provide a go signal to involve the police in the investigation of this issue.
