'Lawbreakers' Closed Beta starts this March; Gears of War creator confirmed the new game's release date

(Photo : GameNewsOfficial - YouTube) A new game from the creators of Gears of War, Lawbreakers will be holding its closed beta play this 2nd week of March. The new first-person online shooter game is a mix of Overwatch and Unreal Tournament.

A new shooter game from the creator of the Gears of War is about to release and is ready for a Closed Beta play in the next couple of days. With the title called "Lawbreakers," game creator Cliff Bleszinski announced that they will be holding a closed multiplayer beta play this March before the official launch.

The "Lawbreakers" closed beta play was announced by the developer Boos Key Productions and the registration is now ongoing via the game's official website. The closed beta play will start on March 16th and will conclude on the 19th, there will be an extension if the server got an issue during the allotted period as per the game developers.

According to the GameSpot, "Lawbreakers" already released its Alpha test last year. The game has started its development back in 2015 and is now about to release this year.

The "Lawbreakers" closed beta play will feature new maps, characters and weapons, which are all not seen during the Alpha test. The "Lawbreakers" have been in development over the past 2 years and the team is working discretely in order to release the game as a surprise for several fans who doesn't know the game. Along with this new features, the developers al confirmed that some of the new characters will have new roles such as the healer.

It has been said that the game was initially announced in an updated video posted on YouTube. Boss Key Communications managers Bleszinski and Rohan Ribas said that the beta and its new content will be available for all the fans and can be seen during the PAX East Convention set in Boston this month as per the Niche Gamer reported.

"Lawbreakers" is a first-person shooter inspired by the current popular games like the Overwatch and Unreal Tournament, which Bleszinski has worked with several years ago. The game features several character classes and weapon types, including close-combat weapons, and as its main feature, laws of physics and gravity.

The game was originally planned to release as a free-to-play online game. However, the developers decided to shift to a pay-to-play basis, and will now be an exclusive game via Steam.
