The hype and anticipation for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is reaching fever pitch as it set for worldwide premiere this May. But the hype just got louder as Marvel recently released the final and retro-music crazy featuring the same Guardians and then some.

'Surprise' Trailer from Chris Pratt

The first "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer feature Baby Groot having trouble understanding Rocket's instructions combined with some nifty action scenes. Combined with funny quips from Star Lord and the awkward hilarity of Drax, it singlehandedly hyped the movie to greater heights.

But Marvel dropped another trailer recently and it was introduced no less by Chris Pratt himself while appearing in "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". According to Entertainment Tonight Pratt was in the show in the sketch segment called "What do you have to plug?" where he introduced the "surprise" trailer for their upcoming superhero film. Although it was not necessarily a surprise since it was already announced on Twitter the day before the reveal, the contents of the final trailer give fans a glimpse on what to see in the film.

Star Lord's Father Revealed

One of the biggest casting news from Marvel in recent years was the casting of Kurt Russell as Ego, Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord's father. But he's not just any dad who missed his son - Ego is actually a living planet and the body is something he personally made according to Slash Film.

But aside from Kurt Russell as Ego, the latest "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will not just become a stand-alone film for the heroes. Everyone could be back during the "Infinity Wars" and the upcoming movie could reveal some information on how the superheroes will face the upcoming danger of Thanos.

Star Lord and the rest of the Guardians will land in theaters May 5 worldwide.
