The New York Knicks once again made a surprising move as they announced they are waiving Brandon Jennings. The veteran point guard recently asked the Knicks management as he is pursuing to sign and play for a contender team.

According to CBS Sports, the Knicks announced that they already waived Brandon Jennings last Monday. The Knicks are about to sign Chasson Randle as a replacement to Jennings for the remainder of the season.

The then-star point guard who first shined during his stint with the Milwaukee Bucks is expressing his interest to sign with any contender team this season, with just 2 more days before the deadline for free agent signing, Jennings' current situation is a big gamble for his career.

Jennings might not be the guy that used to be, but his skills can still provide depth from the bench. He can be a great x-factor for any contending team due to his positive attitude and being very competitive.

Brandon Jennings currently holds an average of 8.6 points and 4.9 dishes every night as a backup to the starting point guard Derrick Rose. Though there are games that Jennings seemed to an invisible, there are moments that he was the star of the night.

There is a total of 16 clinching teams every that will battle their way through the NBA Playoffs and Jennings assumes that one of these teams will likely sign him, Sporting News reported. Some of these teams don't have enough slots, while some are already prepared, for the most part, Jennings would probably end waiting until the next season arrived.

Meanwhile, the Knicks is still trying to make a progress for their current roster, though we may say that for their team, the season is over. The Knicks is still in a confusion phase as the team seems to be troubled with an undiscovered issue.

For some basketball analysts, it is clear that the drama in the Madison Square Garden will continue until summer. The Knicks is caught up in a situation where their players didn't even know where the team is heading.
