After the New York Knicks' long-season drama, none of their players have departed as the team still remains intact together. Derrick Rose who was once involved in a trade rumor expressed his interest of re-signing with the team next season.

According to Slam Online, Derrick Rose wants to stay with the Knicks and be a part of the team's future. Rose' agent BJ Armstrong recently appeared in an interview with Sirius MX NBA Radio and said that his client doesn't want to go anywhere as the Rose is comfortable playing with the Knicks.

Despite of several trade rumors that surround Derrick Rose over the past months, the former NBA MVP stays calm and never drop any comments. Rose was involved in a trade rumor that could potentially send to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Ricky Rubio. Within just a couple of days, the said rumor was erased after the Timberwolves eventually announced that they are pulling Ricky Rubio from the NBA trade block.

Aside from being involved in several trade rumors, Derrick Rose suffered numerous injuries while playing with the Knicks. There are times that the team played without the presence of their star point guard, and within those nights without him, the team found themselves in trouble most of the time.

In this case, the Knicks' really need Derrick Rose to run the floor, his presence and his numbers are very important to the team. Although the point guard is not the same type of All-Star caliber that he was, still Rose can contribute well enough for their team. Derrick Rose is currently averaging 17.6 points, 4.4 assists and 3.9 boards every night, making him good enough as a comeback player after a devastating and almost a career-ending injury back in 2012.

The Knicks has been facing several challenges as they enter the 2016-2017 NBA season with lots of expectation from the fans and sports analysts. Unfortunately, the team seemed not synching with each other along with the management.

Meanwhile, the Bulls' new acquired forward Anthony Morrow was asked to wear jersey number 1. Morrow posted on a social media that he is changing his number out of respect to Rose as he chose to wear number 11 instead, Chicago Tribune reported.
