Alcatel is about to release its new smartphone this coming Mobile World Congress by the end of this month. The Chinese Company is expected to unveil the new Alcatel Idol 5 Pro along with the Alcatel Idol 5S after announcing the new smartphone series last year.

According to The Giz Bot, TLC-owned company Alcatel announced that they will be releasing a brand new series of smartphone. They are about to launch the new Alcatel Idol 5 Pro and 5S on the upcoming Mobile World Conference, everything about the new smartphone will be officially announced, including it specs and features.

A message from Roland Quandt was posted on Twitter saying that the new Alcatel Idol 5 Pro is confirmed to use the Android Nougat instead of the Windows 10 mobile. With this, it is clear that Alcatel is now opting to use the free Android operating system by Google, instead of the Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile.

On the other hand, according to Mobile Indian, Alcatel ran a benchmark test for the Alcatel Idol 5S. As for the result, the new smartphone had 824 points running on a single-core, while getting 3,421 points the multi-core test. Within the test, the Alcatel Idol 5S was packed with 3GB of RAM, powered by the great Helio P20 1.69 GHz eight-core processor.

Aside from the Alcatel Idol 5, the company is also rumored to release another phone, the Alcatel 5046S. According to the report, the 5046S is equipped with Qualcomm Cortex A7 Quad-Core that runs at 1.1Ghz with 2GB of RAM and will also use the Android 7.0 Nougat.

Reports show that Alcatel is about to launch a total of 5 new smartphones this coming February 28th. Alcatel is pushing their company to compete against big companies like Sony and Samsung.
