'The Mick' is back on Fox for Season 2; Plot and release date

The latest comedy series on Fox, "The Mick," just got an early renewal for its second season coming late this year until 2018. The show's pilot alone has garnered lots of great reviews and a good standing, which is why the network didn't hesitate on renewing it for another season.

In an article published by Variety, creators Dave and John Chernin made the show focused on the character of Mackenzie Murphy (Kaitlin Olson), a straight-forward who is never sorry for anything that comes out of her mouth. She found herself raising her niece and nephews after her sister gets arrested and decided to flew out of the country just so she won't end up being completely locked up in jail.

The setting is at Greenwich, Connecticut, which is a refreshing take on a comedy series since most of them feature big cities like New York and Los Angeles. The network is very pleased to announce that they are giving another season for "The Mick" to be on TV because they believed in the show and how funny it is.

The president of the entertainment department of told the press that even during the early development of the series, they already know it is going to be a hit. According to Fox5 Atlanta, the network's first encounter with the materials for "The Mick" did not disappoint them, which is why they are confident enough to renew it as early as now.

Season 1 will have a total of 17 episodes. This is a work of the Chernin brothers who are known for creating "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Kaitlin Olson is not only the star of the show but she is also a co-executive producer. Catch "The Mick" every Tuesday at 8:30 pm on Fox.
