As the NBA trade deadline approaches, several teams are now starting to negotiate with other teams to pull a good trade for an upgrade. Today, the Indiana Pacers are reportedly pursuing to acquire Jahlil Okafor from the Sixers to help Paul George in the scoring end of the court.

According to the CBS Sports, the Pacers are targeting the big-man Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers are currently sixth in the Eastern Conference and the team wants to make sure that they would have enough firepower upon entering the NBA Playoffs.

The Pacers head coach Nate McMillan once said in an interview that their team wants an upgrade to their roster. They are deciding who to acquire and who to send since they feel like they really need to get better.

In a report made by the CSN Philly, they said that the Pacers needs to think wisely of who to send in order to pull Jahlil Okafor from the Sixers' roster. They suggested sending out Thaddeus Young is not a good move since he has been a good help to the team, while sending Myles Turner would definitely not a good move either.

There goes the name of Monta Ellis. Ellis seemed to be a good player, rather an average player as several reports showed. Several fans said that Ellis is an underrated player that deserves an All-Star appearance, unfortunately, he is not.

Being an undersized shooting guard, with 6'3", Monta Ellis is a regular liability on defense, he struggles to defend taller and stronger player than him, even if he uses his speed and quickness, still his reach is not enough to intimidate his man. He is also struggling from the 3-point line and has been not a good factor for the Indiana Pacers since last year.

On the other hand, for the Sixers, Ellis would be a good help to them. Since he can score and create his own shots, he could be a great help when it comes to the ball rotation for a better offense. As a veteran, he could be a good mentor to the young core of the Sixers.
