Following controversy for allegedly harassing male idols on "SNL Korea," Lee Se Young is confirmed to make a comeback in the upcoming season of the variety show. However, the announcement has caused outrage among K-Pop fans.

According to Soompi, producers of the long-running show have decided to consider Lee Se Young after she was cleared of sexual harassment charges last month. "We are reaching out to Lee Se Young based on the mutual trust we have built over the years," they revealed in a dispatch.

The show's producers went on, "We promise to present a more mature, improved side of "SNL" to viewers in season nine. We will take viewers' opinions into consideration and will try to create the best content we possibly can."

The decision of "SNL Korea" to cast Lee Se Young for season nine received criticisms from the netizens, particularly fans of B1A4, INFINITE and Block B. It can be remembered that the three bands allegedly experienced the comedian's inappropriate acts on the show.

Hence, fans of the three boy groups initiated to take legal actions against Lee Se Young for alleged sexual assault. After hearing the testimonies of the persons involved, the "SNL Korea" host was cleared of the accusations as per Allkpop.

The Mapo Police Department revealed that members of B1A4, INFINITE and Block B denied reports that Lee Se Young touched their private parts. As a result, the sexual assault case against the comedian was closed for lack of evidence.

Despite the ruling, netizens slammed "SNL Korea" for its decision to cast Lee Se Young again. Some of them are even more disappointed that no one was punished for the alleged sexual assault.

"Actually SNL Korea as a whole is also to blame for having that hazing culture, and yet they got away with it. So I am not surprised that things turn out this way," a commenter posted.
