Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most visible actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His character, Nick Fury, is a flexible character that fits well into the stories in the MCU. Interestingly, he is a convener of sorts for the Avengers and plays an important role in the superhero group's missions. The actor recently revealed his involvement in future MCU films.

In a recent interview, Jackson confirmed that he's joining the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War" and also teased about the possibility of his character showing up on "Captain Marvel."

However, Jackson jokingly vented out his frustration about Nick Fury not taking part in "Black Panther," which boasts a superstar lineup that includes Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Forest Whitaker, Michael B. Jordan and Angela Bassett.

"Also, I asked them, 'So you're doing Black Panther and the only black character in the Marvel Universe is not showing up?' And they're like, 'Nick Fury is not in Wakanda!'" Jackson told We Got This Covered. "How can he not know the other black superhero on the planet? How the hell does that work? But they just said, 'No you're not in that one.'"

Filming for "Avengers: Infinity War" has official begun. Marvel celebrated the first day of filming by releasing a video showing actors Robert Downey Jr., Chris Pratt and Tom Holland on set in Atlanta, ET Online reported.

Nick Fury's fate in the MCU has been a particular point of interest for many fans. The MCU has been lacking in any significant deaths lately, but it will likely change as it enters Phase 3. Fury, in particular, has been able to cheat death several times in the films, and although he plays an integral role in the movies some theorists believe he may be one of the casualties in "Avengers: Infinity War."

Meanwhile, Jackson is starring in "Kong: Skull Island" alongside MCU stars Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson. The movie premieres in theaters on March 10. On the other hand, "Avengers: Infinity War" will be released on May 4, 2018.
