The epic battle waged by every faction in the "Dawn of War" universe gets even bigger with the latest release of the "Prophecy of War" trailer. The game is expected to hit the shelves this year, although Relic Entertainment, the game's developer, has yet to pinpoint an exact date.
According to PC Gamer, the latest "Dawn of War 3: Prophecy of War" trailer gives players a teaser peak as to how the game will tackle the ongoing war between three factions: Ork, Human, and Eldar. Based on the trailer alone, it is massive.
The trailer was uploaded on YouTube and has already garnered hundreds of thousands of views. The description was also a little bit vague. It reads, "It's a race to the pointy stikk as Grabriel Angelos, Farseer Macha, and Gorgutz 'Ead'unter command their massive armies in search for a mythical weapon that can control the fate of their races!"
On the trailer, each major hero was seen battling with lesser characters, as well as each other. The trailer also revealed some of the skills and attack moves of the three heroes.
Along with the trailer, Relic Entertainment has also released three videos that highlight each of the three factions' gameplay mechanics. These videos focus on gameplay and also hints at some possible interesting strategy to adopt once the game rolls out.
The storyline of "Prophecy of War" was also hinted at the start of the trailer video. It tells the story of Farseer Taldeer and the quest of each faction to acquire the Spear of Khaine, the same weapon that sparked the war in the game's timeline, according to VG24/7.
As with almost every "Dawn of War" game, "Prophecy of War" works on the storyline wherein all three factions are working in order to advance each other's main objective which is the perpetuation of their own specie.
